A) Crafts and Daily Life in the Renaissance
3 days/2 nights
Day 1 -The Castello di Santa Severa
Guided
visit to the medieval castle with its Saracen tower, the Baptistry,
15th century church and the artisans' workshops set up in
the village.
Day 2- Allumiere and the Renaissance quarries
A walk in the beech woods to discover the Renaissance alum
quarries. A visit to the Civic Museum of Allumiere and Laboratory
to learn about the use and work of alum in ancient times.
Day 3- Odescalchi Castle at Bracciano
A visit to the ancient manor, among the most important feudal
homes of Europe. A walk along the
lakeside will follow our visit.
B) Medieval Villages and Ancient
Crafts 4 days/3 nights Day 1-
Bomarzo

Guided tour of the "Monsters Park" or "Sacred
Wood" created by Vicino Orsini between 1552 and 1580.
The Park is composed of several terraces on the side of the
valley and a series of trails decorated with monstrous and
grotesque figures , animals and giants sculpted in the peperino
stone.
Day 2- Cerveteri-Medieval ceramics lab
A day dedicated to learning the techniques of production of
ceramics in the Middle Ages. Praticaltrials of making and
decorating objects, glazes and artifacts made in ancient times.
Day 3-The Nature Park and dead city of Monterano

Archeotrekking in the nature reserve and the ruins of the
ancient city.
Day 4 The Odescalchi Castle at Bracciano
A guided tour of the ancient manor, one of feudal Europe's
most important homes. Following, a walk along the lakeside.
Day 5-The Castello di Santa Severa
