The Weekend Archeologist

Who has not wished to be an archeologist at least once in their life? This science has always caused incredible passions and strong curiosity. For this reason we are proposing this enlightening and fun experience in a mini tour around the places and customs of the mysterious and fascinating Etruscan civilzation.
The objectives are to bring the participants close to archeology through the study and learning of the systems of stratigraphic excavation, to develop an historic sense and the understanding of the continuity of past cultures with contemporary ones. Scientific methods of study of a particular site or "typical stratigrafic situation" will be reconstructed. During the program the following will be used: reproductions of ceramics, bronze, architectural terracotte, besides regular archeological instruments that will help the neophyte analyze and participate directly in the process of historic reconstruction such as the use of matrix (with exercises for understanding and use) the use of triangulation in the sample site as well as the compilation of the US which are necessary for the documentation of the stratified units.
